It is a C series, dating it to around 1962 (my personal favorite year for Elkhart Conns). Instrument is in good condition apart from minor wear at contact points and minor dings throughout bell flare. The slide is a B6278YC, dual bore with yellow brass end crook. $1950 without case. The sound of the bugle, essentially a valve-less trumpet, carries as few other instruments do. This conversion was done at the Greenhoe shop and is not a Conn-Selmer produced variation.

VanderCook. The piece was inspired by a series of books about a California private detective Bernie Little and his dog, Chet. In the books, Chet is the one telling the story! The piece opens with a happy, jumpy portrait of Chet, who is proud to be part of the detective agency Stabat Mater, Op.58 (Original edition (Simrock)): Trombone 1, 2 and 3 parts [A2593]. When played with a high rate of air flow, any brass instrument exudes a loud, brassy and coarse tone. When played with a low rate of air flow, that same instrument takes on a soft tone texture. Is this what was being described by loud and soft playing in the 17th and 18th century Tristan und Isolde, WWV 90 (Act II, Sc. 2. Love Duet: Isolde! Geliebte! (soprano, tenor)): Trombone 2 part (Qty 2) [A3932]? In the 1960s an incomplete concerto by Georg Christoph Wagenseil was recorded by conductor Nikolaus Harnoncourt: this Concerto demands advanced technique from the performer and is the first known concerto form work for the trombone. [6] Shortly after this recording was released, another concerto, written by Leopold Mozart was discovered. But due to the advanced technique required in this concerto (particularly the lip trills), it was considered too difficult for the trombone and musicologists concluded that it was instead most likely written for the French horn. [7] New information regarding Gschladt demonstrates that music of this difficulty was written for the alto trombone during the mid- to late 18th century and that music we previously thought impossible on the instrument was certainly possible The Dream of Gerontius, Op.38: Trombone 2 part [A4022]. Saved a lot of money!"..." more - Cathy Lee "have spent 3 days trying to restore an antique brass bed using Brasso without much progress download. Though if, as we are told, its prototype was the sackbut, it carries us back to the glorious days of David and Solomon and their chief musicians Asaph, Hem an, Ethan and Jedithun, in which days, the Chosen People were wont to give thanks to Adonai on the shawm and on the psaltry--on the harp and on the huggab,--on the cythern and on the sackbut; and thence forward to that spectacle on the plain of Dura, where a vain-glorious earthly potentate set up an "idol of gold, commanding the servants of Elohim to fall down and worship it, at what time they should hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltry and dulcimer ;" and thence to - the era of Roman conquest and Roman dominion; for the Romans, we are told, introduced the music of the sackbut into their military and triumphal demonstrations immediately after the reduction of Jerusalem, a statement which is possessed with more than mere shadow of truth, in as far as a sackbut was found in Herculaneum and presented by Carlo, the King of Naples, to George II pdf.
