This is a book on the general theory of analytic categories. Some chapters are worse than others, but the average density of misprints seems to be more than one per page. Morse theory is another branch of differential topology, in which topological information about a manifold is deduced from changes in the rank of the Jacobian of a function. The simplest results are those in the differential geometry of curves. Just like in ordinary (non-differential) topology, a gently curved line, a straight line, and a totally squiggly line are all the same up to diffeomorphism (the squiggly line should have no sharp cusps and corners though, which is how this is different from ordinary topology). Generally this book is good, and not presupposing too much prerequisites. Very roughly, you will be assigned 3 or 4 problems per section we cover.
